Despite the rare leaks and rumours, information about the Apple AirPods has remained scant. The AirPods 3 will, however, bore a strong resemblance to the silicon-tipped, stemmed design of the AirPods Pro, according to a high-quality live image that appeared online on July 24. According to a recent leak, the earbuds could be released in September alongside the iPhone 13 series.
According to DigiTimes, people familiar with the Cupertino-based company’s intentions predict that the AirPods 3 could be revealed alongside the iPhone 13 series. While the magazine has not always been trustworthy, some of its leaks have proven to be correct in the past.
The report also coincides with prior reports of the Apple AirPods 3 debuting in Q2 2021, giving even more credence to the September launch rumour. However, Apple has yet to confirm this, so take the information with a grain of salt for now.
The Apple AirPods 3 are expected to have silicon tips, similar to the AirPods Pro, but shorter earbud stems. According to rumours, the upcoming AirPods 3 could possibly come with a small charging case.
Upcoming sensors are also expected to be included in the new AirPods, allowing for more health and fitness-related capabilities. ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) is a feature that has yet to be confirmed. The silicone ear tips, on the other hand, should provide superior noise isolation than the plastic design earbuds. The Apple AirPods 3 will most likely have the same fast-charging arrangement as the AirPods 2.
