Caitlyn Jenner argues that transgender girls participating in all-female sports teams is “just not fair.”

When asked about her thoughts on laws in the various US states that “bar biological boys who are trans from playing girls’ sports in school,” the reality TV star told TMZ that it was a “question of fairness.” She was quoted as saying, “It’s just not fair, and we have to protect girls’ sports in our schools.”

When asked whether such a ban was “de-legitimizing” to trans people, the 71-year-old simply replied, “have a nice day,” before getting into her car.

Caitlyn Jenner recently declared her candidacy for governor of California. She clarified her position on Twitter. “I wasn’t expecting to be asked this on my Saturday morning coffee sprint, but I’m confident in my place. It’s a matter of justice, and we must safeguard girls’ sports in our schools.”
