In 2021, the French IT services company Capgemini is aiming to recruit approximately 24,000 staff. These include laterals, as well as new campus hires. The numbers for recruiting are about the same as last year.
In areas such as cloud, digital, big data, cybersecurity, data science, Java, SAP, Oracle, and research, the company will recruit applicants. “In these areas, customer demand is high,” Anil Singh, VP, and Head of Talent Acquisition – India, Capgemini, said.
“At Capgemini, we have a robust hiring plan,” he said.
The IT player engaged 9,500 individuals, including freshers and laterals, in the first half of 2020. In the second half, another 13,500 experienced and young professionals were employed by the company, Singh said.
With no effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on its hiring ramp-up schedule, the hiring figures are likely to be close to last year’s. This year, the company is adding new campuses as well as visiting standard engineering colleges, all through virtual mode.
Capgemini typically visits leading institutions such as IITs, NITs, government and private educational institutions such as Pune College of Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology and Services (Pilani), Amity Institute of Technology, and Vellore Institute of Technology.
