Car bomb attack in southern Afghanistan kills 3 police officers

KABUL: A car bomb explosion focusing on a police checkpoint within the southern Afghan province of Kandahar killed three regulation enforcement officers and injured seven extra on Saturday, Jamal Nasir Barakzai, a spokesperson for the provincial police, informed reporters.
“A car bomb exploded close to a police checkpoint in southern Kandahar province. Three policemen had been killed and 7 others injured after an automobile bomb blast close to the police checkpoint within the central space of Arghistan district,” Barakzai mentioned.
The police spokesman specified that the blast hit the district’s central Sipanzo area.
