A number of members of a gaggle of scientists that advises the Dutch authorities on managing the Covid-19 pandemic have obtained threats, native media reported Friday.
A number of consultants on the OMT scientific committee discovered threatening letters had been left on their letterboxes at residence, based on information web site Nu.nl.
Committee member Andreas Voss advised the location he had been known as a “horrible monkey” and advised him to “return to Germany” in a word addressed to him.
One other OMT knowledgeable, Diederik Gommers, stated that one among his colleagues was below police safety after “severe threats”.
Different members of the committee advised Nu.nl that they had been so unsettled by the threats that they’re now reluctant to talk to the media about Covid-19.
A spokesman for the RIVM public health body, where the committee is predicated, declined to remark when contacted by AFP.
