The OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be released in India on July 22. The battery’s characteristics and capability for rapid charging have been published by the Chinese tech giant ahead of its unveiling. Some crucial specifications of OnePlus’ forthcoming mid-range smartphone have already been confirmed. Some price hints for the next phone have also surfaced in the form of leaks. The OnePlus Nord 2 will be available in four colour options: Blue Haze, Gray Sierra, Green Woods, and an unidentified Red.
OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus Nord 2 would have a 4,500mAh battery that enables Warp Charge 65 fast charging in a tweet on its official Twitter account. Warp Charge 65, according to the tweet, can give the smartphone a full day’s worth of battery life in just 15 minutes. It does not, however, specify the exact battery percentage that will allow the OnePlus Nord 2 to last a full day.

Recent leaks have shown the various colour combinations that the OnePlus Nord 2 may be available in. The Green Woods colour scheme is expected to be limited to the 12GB + 256GB storage configuration. The OnePlus 7 was the company’s most recent smartphone to undergo the Red colour treatment, which appears to be glossier than the Red colourway of the OnePlus Nord 2.
The OnePlus Nord 2’s design was also verified by the company in a tweet. The smartphone appears to be designed similarly to the OnePlus 9 series. The mid-range smartphone has a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera on the front, and it will sport a triple back camera arrangement like the OnePlus 9 series.
The smartphone will also be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chipset, making it the first OnePlus device to have a MediaTek processor. It will include a number of AI-based features, including AI-Photo Enhancement, which can recognise up to 22 distinct circumstances. OnePlus also stated that the phone will come pre-installed with OxygenOS 11 and will receive two major OS updates as well as three years of security fixes.
A 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification is rumoured to be included in the OnePlus Nord 2. The next smartphone’s prices have also leaked, with the base 8GB + 128GB storage option estimated to cost Rs. 31,999. The price of the 12GB + 256GB storage model is estimated to be Rs. 34,999.
