Delhi BJP employees on Thursday staged a protest in the entrance of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s residence, a day after its leaders lodged a police complaint alleging that there was a “conspiracy to kill” mayors and leaders of the party-led municipal corporations.
Additionally, they demanded that the Kejriwal authorities clear the dues of the three municipal corporations — the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), and the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC).
The BJP’s city unit on Wednesday, citing a video, had lodged a complaint with the police towards Mr. Sisodia and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Durgesh Pathak alleging a “conspiracy to kill” leaders of the municipal corporations.
Mr. Pathak has rubbished the allegations, saying the BJP has a behavior of blending random audios with random videos to “defame and malign” individuals.
“We protested towards the conspiracy to kill our mayors and issued a warning that BJP employees know how one can give reply to such challenges,” Delhi BJP VP Ashok Goel Devraha mentioned.
The protesters, together with members of the BJP’s youth and SC wings, tried to get previous a police barricade close to Sisodia”s residence on Mathura Road, after which just a few of them have been detained.
Mr. Devraha, who led the protest, claimed that 4 to 5 BJP employees have been detained by the police and brought to the Mandir Marg Police station.
He asserted that mayors and different leaders of the municipal corporations have been preventing justice for the individuals of Delhi and workers of the civic bodies.
“Mayors and different company leaders are sitting outdoors Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence on an indefinite dharna for the previous 4 days in the cold as a result of the Delhi authorities will not be paying Rs 13,000 crore dues. That is posing issues in cost of salaries to sanitation employees, medical doctors and nurses, who served individuals as ”Corona Warriors”,” Mr. Devraha mentioned.
The BJP complaint cited a video clip circulating on social media purportedly displaying Mr. Sisodia and Mr. Pathak outdoors Arvind Kejriwal’s residence where the mayors and municipal company leaders are staging the dharna.
“A Delhi BJP delegation filed a complaint on the DCP workplace towards Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and AAP chief Durgesh Pathak for the conspiracy to kill the mayors,” the Delhi BJP had mentioned in an announcement on Wednesday.
Delhi BJP common secretary Harsh Malhotra, who was a part of the delegation, has alleged, “Whole Delhi has seen the video during which AAP chief Durgesh Pathak is publicly saying that he’ll kill the corporation leaders and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia standing subsequent to him is calming him saying that there were media around.”
