Following a request from both sides’ players, UEFA agreed to resume the match later that evening, with the Danish midfielder in a stable condition in hospital. In their tournament opener, Finland defeated Denmark 1-0.

Christian Eriksen’s status is “stable,” according to a statement made by the Danish Football Association on Sunday, and the star player is still being “hospitalized” for additional evaluation.
